My grandma told me that long long time ago before men/women can walk upright.  There was a sharktopus name Bruce.  One of the most handsome sharks in the seven seas.  But don't be deceive by his good looks.  He is actually a mean, nasty and cold cold cold hearted sharktopus.  He is powerful, eccentric and wants to conquer all the seven seas.
It took him twenty years but he conquered almost all the seven kingdoms of the sea.  The last kingdom remains in the eastern sea because he felt in love with a mermaid princess.  He sends a marriage proposal but she refuses.  So Bruce exterminated them all.  Until no more mermaid left in our world, but sharks of all kinds.  True story.  

The moral of the story is...  DO NOT say no to a handsome young shark, like ever!  If only the spoiled and selfish little mermaid princess said "YES".  Most of the mermaids would have been around.  Silly mermaids.
